Introduction
Canadians, by
an overwhelming majority, are
people with spiritual values and religious beliefs. According to the
2001
Canadian census, eighty-four percent of Canadians indicated they had
religious
affiliations.
The
purpose of this "Guide to the Baha'i Faith" is to give the
reader a
brief overview of the history and fundamental tenants of the Bahá'í
Faith,
the youngest of the world's independent religions. Its founder,
Bahá'u'lláh
(1817-1892), is regarded by Bahá'ís as the most recent in the line of
Messengers of God that stretches back beyond recorded time and that
includes
Abraham, Moses, Buddha, Krishna, Zoroaster, Christ and Muhammad.
